I have six hours each week set aside on my schedule for office hours, and I hope you will take advantage of this time to meet with me to discuss your projects in progress. In my experience, students who attend office hours typically outperform their classmates, and they always improve their own performance. You can use this time to ask me questions about your work, solve frustrating technology problems, or review drafts of your projects. This semester, my office hours are on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon. If you would like to set up a specific time to meet with me during those times, you are welcome to do so, but you don’t need an appointment to attend office hours. If your schedule is completely full during my official office hours, let me know and we’ll find another time to meet.

If you have a quick question that I might be able to answer via email, you can send me a message by clicking on the following link:

Any time you send me an email related to this class, please put the numbers “4814” in the subject line of your email. I use the course number to create email filters that ensure your message won’t get lost in my overcrowded inbox. You can then add your own subject after the course number.

I’m happy to answer questions via email (or even via Twitter), but before you send me a message (especially about a technology problem), make sure you have tried to answer the question on your own.
